Riley is a New York-based Scenic Designer and Artist.
Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, Riley has always had a deep love for theatre design.
Set design is how the world makes sense to her.
In 2022 she was awarded the USITT Bernard R. Works Mastercrafts Award in Scenic Painting.
Riley received her BFA in Design from Missouri State University and currently pursuing their M.F.A. in Set Design at Brooklyn College.
Riley continues her love of education as an adjunct professor at Brooklyn College. There she teaches Scenic Painting and Properties Design.
Watching live performances and feeling how deeply they connect with her and the people she loves made Riley want to contribute to that part of that world.
She loves to push the boundaries on how to elevate audience experiences. Helping to facilitate that feeling of catharsis feeling is what motivates her to be a captivating storyteller.
Riley approaches design with curiosity and enthusiasm, grateful to have a career in the arts. Every project brings new challenges, new experiences, and a new community to be apart of.
